Bexhill Horse Show

By some strange twist of fate I found myself with my camera shooting at Bexhill Horse Show this bank holiday Monday, practising my moving target skills, when I discovered that the official photographer hadn’t turned up. A young lady who I now know by the name of Georgia was so excited when she came running up to see if a friend and I had taken any photos of her and her horse jumping because she thought there wouldn’t be any until she spotted us. As a result I contacted the show secretary and offered to provide an alternative service to the official photographer using the photographs I had taken whilst having an afternoon relaxing with my family. It’s the first time I have photographed horses jumping, and whilst very similar to the dog event photography that I usually cover there are subtle differences which I have learnt from discussions with photographer friends. I shall be better equipped for horse photography in the future as a result, but I’m not unhappy with the results from the afternoon, which are available to view and purchase in the gallery.
